15/11/2020- Getting interviews done

What I did this week

This week I was very busy as I had done almost all my interviews. I also had two pre-interview meetings with one of my case studies and one with the representant of Trick Relief Specialists from America which is an organisation that helps people stop pulling. It was really helpful to have these two meetings before my actual interviews with them because it helped me to come up with more questions for them that helped me make them deepen their answers. I also found out many new, interesting ideas and approaches especially after talking with Trick Relief Specialists about trick which I believe will make a really good impact and contribution to my documentary.

The picture of the hair ring for the website’s homepage for which I asked someone from Lucinda Ellery salon came through but I am not that happy with it because it is not landscape and I don’t think it would fit well on the homepage , so I will need to ask if they can take another one.

I am happy that I have also managed to start editing and adding to my ‘’Interviewees’’ page on wix after receiving my first two pictures from Angela and Karen. I am still waiting for the other five but I am sure they will come soon.

What challenges did I face

• Radio studios – On Thursday, when I had my interview with Dr Dana, I couldn’t do the interview over the phone because I couldn’t call her, and she couldn’t call the studio either because she didn’t have any international minutes. So, my alternative was a zoom call and I was scared that the sound would be very bad, but it actually turned out quite clear and good.

• Campaign- I am a bit worried about my twitter campaign as it has been two weeks since I have started it and no one has gotten involved as they either don’t have Twitter or are afraid of coming out onto a such a big platform and telling their stories, so I think what I will do is talk to Antje in my next meeting with her and ask her opinion on making a Instagram account instead.

What is my next plan

• Have the interview with Trick Relief Specialists this Thursday

• Start editing a draft for my documentary

• Start writing a draft for my script
