What I did this week

So far this week I have not been able to start my editing because I was not sure if I should do it at university or home. I had a meeting with Jason over zoom and he advised me on using audacity if I want to edit from home which was a good option because I already had the system but also because that would have meant that I can edit whenever and I would not be pressured by time.

I am glad that Jason mentioned some good apps that I can use to record my presenter audio clips for the documentary if I am not in the radio studio. I took a picture of them so I can have it for later. I know Ferrite and MOTIV are quite good but for the others I will have to explore them more.

I am done with all my interviewees now so I would really like to get started with the edit by the end of this week. Moreover I had changed my added value from a Twitter campaign to an Instagram account because it was not working ; there has been 3 weeks since setting it up and no one has got in contact with me about getting involved so an action had to be taken quickly.

My pictures from Lucinda Ellery's salon came and now I have managed to edit them and put it on my homepage, so I am really proud that I manage to solve this problem.

What did not go well

I feel like I have spent too much time thinking and planning about which place is better to start the edit and wasted some days when I could have edit.

When looking at the tutorial on Brightapace about getting audacity ready to edit, I had encountered some problems such as one of the options displayed in the video was missing for me, so I emailed Jason and he said he will look into it. Even so, it made me anxious so I think I won’t use audacity at all anymore as I am scared something will go wrong.
