What I have done so far

This week I have been very busy finishing up my draft edit, doing my voiceover, perfecting my script and working on my social media.

I managed to find two more people who accepted to share their trick stories with me and that provided me with more content for my story highlight ‘’my trick story’’. I have also got a new follower who has trick and I am planning to ask her too, so hopefully she says yes. I would like to have at least 4-5 people for this highlight.

Jason also had a look at my edit before my meeting with Antje and he helped me a lot on structuring the introduction as well as advised me on what bits I should take out or leave in. That was so helpful for me because I was really stuck.

I showed Antje the draft and script in this week’s meeting and she liked it which made me feel really pleased with my work. The only changes she advised me to do were to take one sound bite out and also to re-word some of my voiceover bits because they were either too abrupt or had too many sentences in one, so I have to break it down a little bit more in order to make it easier for my listeners to follow me.

What challenges did I face this week

Finding people for my highlight story - It was really hard to find more people with trichotillomania and who were happy to share their stories with me for my Instagram account. I emailed eight Facebook pages of either bloggers or support groups, but only two got back to me and actually talked to me, so it felt a bit frustrating.

Preparing videos for my ‘’videos page’’- I came across three apps that were either for trick or related and I wanted to have a go at them , record it and then post it on my website’s page this week but I did not have enough time as I was so busy editing.

Radio documentary – It took me two days to cut down my documentary down to seven minutes from fifteen minutes because I was struggling on what to leave in or delete.

What are my next steps

• Download the apps and have a go at them

• Post the recording on the website

• Find one or two more people for my hashtag highlight stories

• Finish the edit

• Finish editing the script
