What happened this week

The week that has just passed was very busy for me. I went in every day to edit and get my draft done.

I managed to cut everything down to 10 minutes which is still very long, but it is better than before.

I had also done more research to find out more about the neurological aspect in trichotillomania for my script because I need to summarise what Dr Himanshu says in order to get it to seven minutes.

Lastly I gave my friend Amy to have a listen to my draft and give me some feedback and that was goof because as I was listening to it along with her it helped me see the changes I need to make too such as taking the volume down for one sound effect or shorten one of Angela’s voice clips.

What were the challenges I faced

First of all, I didn’t get any feedback at all. I emailed Jason twice about my draft and he did not reply, so I hope that next week I will be able to get more feedback from both him and Antje because I want to finish it and show it to her.

Secondly, even if I managed to get a girl’s experience and share it on my Instagram’s story, I still need at least two more, but it is hard to get them because people with this disorder do not feel comfortable to share it on such a public platform. I also found out after sharing my idea with some of my colleagues that they know people who have this disorder and that was really good because I might be able to get in touch with them and ask if they would like to share their story with me. Moreover, focusing on the edit too much did not give me any more time to upload more content on my account. Thus, from now on I will make sure I spare some time to do that too.

Lastly, while listening to the interview with Dr Himanshu , I found it hard to understand a section when talking about the cause of trick in the brain, so next week I will try and clarify that with him by sending him the section and ask for him to write it down for me in an email.

What are my next steps

• Keep on editing

• Add the presenter bits in

• Do my roadmap

• Get involved in more groups of Trick and ask if anyone wants to share their story

• Follow up on my colleagues and try to track down their friends with trich
