After three weeks into my project I had to change a small aspect of it. My Twitter hashtag campaign called #mytrickstory. I set it up in order to get more people involved and raise awareness as my added value but due to the publicity and its broad aspect I did not get anyone involved at all, so I decided that instead I will change to creating an Instagram account for my project and also keep the idea of the campaign but slightly adjust it. It was hard for me to make this change as I wasn’t sure if it will work.

I added a highlight section where I would include shared stories of people with trichotillomania. I started following groups and pages and messaging them privately asking if they would be happy to take part in this. I was happy to see how much more successful it was to do it this way and the fact that more people were open to talk about it was very rewarding. Additionally, I have come across two more people whom I contacted out of which one followed me first.

So far, I managed to post three stories of people who have experienced trick and their stories were so amazing and inspiring. Moreover, getting in touch with them helped to find out more about what they do to support and help other with this disorder , so I would briefly present who I have talked so far and what they do as well as where you can contact them in case you would like to know more about their services.

Short profiles of people I have talked to until now. Their stories can be found on my Instagram account @shadesoftrick.
